Burlington to Open New Store
Retail Specialists’ Bill Read Highlights Burlington’s Expansion
with Acquisition of Former Big Lots Locations
Burlington Stores, a leading discount department retailer, is set to open a new store in Columbia, Missouri, on July 25, 2025, at N. Stadium Boulevard (address TBD).
This opening is part of Burlington’s ambitious plan to launch 100 new locations by the end of 2025, as shared by Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Kristin Kendrick Wolfe. Bill Read, Executive Vice President at Retail Specialists, recently highlighted Burlington’s acquisition of 12 former Big Lots stores in Connecticut, underscoring the company’s strategic growth.
With over 1,100 stores nationwide, Burlington is on track to reach 2,000 stores by 2026, introducing a refreshed store layout and the motto “Deals. Brands. WOW!” to enhance the shopping experience.
