Jeff Rouzie

Retail Specialist

Jeff is a 15-year retail real estate veteran with experience on both the private and public side. Most recently Jeff worked for the city of Foley, Alabama as the director of economic development. During his tenure he established projects including Coastal Alabama Farmers & Fishermen’s Market, T. J. Maxx, Academy Sports, Hobby Lobby, Shoe Station, Big Lots, Wolf Bay Lodge, and the Sports Tourism Facilities projects.  Prior to that he worked in Birmingham for AIG Baker Real Estate where he developed lease negotiations with national shop and anchor tenants including: Vestavia City Center, Birmingham, Ala., Central Texas Market Place, Waco, TX; Dulles Town Center, Washington D.C. and The Wharf, Orange Beach.

In addition to experience with commercial retail, Jeff brings a winning background and work ethic having played and coached football at the University of Alabama.  The success and dedication of being a part of numerous SEC Conference championships and four National Championships has transferred into the retail business as well.  Being involved in forming relationships with prospective players, parents, high school personnel, alumni and the media as a coach has translated into offering a unique customer service experience with clients. Other work experience includes director of Tide Pride for the University of Alabama, executive vice president of Richardson Seismic Services and sales agent for Equitable Life Insurance.

Jeff graduated from University of Alabama in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He is currently a member of ICSC and Economic Development Association of Alabama. In 2015 he received the EDFP Designation, Economic Development Financial Professional.
