- We currently track 189 out of 281 spaces being backfilled.
Looking at the retailers that leased former Stein Marts is a good indication of who will fill the former Bed Bath & Beyond. Stein Mart filed chapter 11 in 2020. We tracked these spaces in April 2022 and have now updated that report.
Burlington remained the biggest consumer of these anchor spaces, taking 22 of them. Crunch was second in these backfills with 13. The most active categories by use were Apparel, Furniture-Home Décor, Fitness, Grocery and Sporting Goods.
Considering all the Bed, Bath and Beyond spaces becoming available, this should give us an idea of the type of users that will be looking to backfill those spaces.
