The Shops at Mid City South is entering its next chapter with the opening of Hollywood Feed, the first tenant to open at the redeveloped property in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Our team acquired the property in October 2025 with a vision to transform the existing space into a new retail destination for the Mid City South area. Since then, we have worked through the redevelopment process to reposition the property, improve the site and create a space that could attract new retail and service offerings to the area.
That vision is now beginning to take shape with the opening of Hollywood Feed.
Hollywood Feed opened its first Baton Rouge location on October 3, bringing 5,100 square feet of retail space to The Shops at Mid City South. The store is the retailer’s second location in Louisiana, joining its existing Shreveport location. The new store features two self-wash dog stations, curbside pickup, same-day delivery and a variety of pet products.
The opening marks an important milestone for The Shops at Mid City South and the redevelopment of the property.
