BIRMINGHAM, AL – Robert Jolly, CEO of Retail Specialists and Retail Strategies, has been named as a finalist for the Birmingham Business Journal’s CEO of the Year Award. Finalists are selected by a panel of editorial judges from a pool of nearly 50 nominations. The finalists are chosen based on leadership that has helped their companies achieve strong growth and success.
Jolly was a finalist for the CEO of the Year Award in 2015 for mid-sized businesses and was named CEO of the Year in 2012 by the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ) in their small business category. Other accolades include Executive of Influence and Top 40 Under 40 by the BBJ.

Jolly is the co-founder and CEO of both companies, delivering the vision of growth while overseeing the day-to-day operations for each brand. He is a CCIM Designee, a Charter Member of Vistage International CEO Group, and a board member of SouthPoint Bank in Birmingham.
Outside of Jolly’s professional achievements, he is an active volunteer in the community as a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club benefiting The Crippled Children’s Foundation, a board member for Urban Ministry in Birmingham, and has been a longtime supporter of The Center Executive Leadership participating in prison ministry.
He and his wife, Mary Elaine, have three children and reside in Mountain Brook. They are avid Alabama football fans.
