JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

Hollywood Feed is currently seeking a dynamic Portfolio and Project Manager who can provide reliable, timely, and professional support, and assist with the day-to-day project management activities within and for the various departments that support Hollywood Feed Store portfolio. The position entails working with a group of internal Stakeholders within the real estate, legal, construction and facilities management department at Hollywood Feed. The successful candidate will require independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. 

MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support project management in new store openings, expansions, and relocations and facilities management.
  • Provide internal and external interaction with third-party providers such as, but not limited to, architects, general contractors, and subcontractors. Coordinate and track the associated documentation life cycle.
  • Prepare/update project status reports, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence.
  • Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical paths.
  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting varied department and project requirements, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and understanding of the varied departments involved in Retail Portfolio Management which includes Legal, Construction, Real Estate and Facilities management.

MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution is preferred. A focus on  Construction Management, Real Estate, or a Paralegal Degree, is preferred.
  • Seeking 5  to 7 years of relevant work experience – or a combination of relevant work experience, education, or an equivalent Military experience.
  • Experience working with construction management, real estate companies, or as a paralegal. 

MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of technical requirements for new stores, relocations, construction, and renovation projects.
  • Familiarity with contracts, architectural drawings and space planning concepts, is a plus.
  • Able to adapt and prioritize meeting deadlines in a fast-paced team or an independent environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with architects, contractors, client representatives, and team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Project

In the 1950s, Hollywood Feed opened our first pet supply store on the corner of Hollywood Street and Chelsea Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. Hollywood Feed is known for friendly and knowledgeable service more than half a century later. We’ve grown from a single store in Memphis to a retail presence spanning the country, with new locations opening each year. At our corporate office, we’ve got seven teams and counting! Depending on the department (Operations, Marketing, Buying, Technology, Finance, Distribution, or Real Estate), you’ll assist with projects and tasks and provide any additional support to our retail locations. Often, you’ll work closely with coworkers on your team as well as other teams. So being able to work well with others and communicate effectively is essential. Also, you will need to stay up to date on interdepartmental communications and training. Working at our corporate office is fun, challenging, and constantly evolving, and we want you to help us grow!
