at Ogletree Village, LLC, based in Auburn, AL announce the joint development of
a Retail, Office, and Entertainment Development in the Moores Mill area of Auburn, AL.
BIRMINGHAM, AL- October 23, 2014 – Retail Specialists, Inc. announced that it has begun leasing and development of a family friendly, upscale dining, shopping and entertainment village. The new mixed use project at Ogletree Village on Ogletree Road (near Moores Mill Road) will
consist of a one-story retail center and restaurants with a two story office over the retail building, all situated around a central park and amphitheater space. The development, known as The Back Porch at Ogletree Village, is a Class A, project with 17,200 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 11,500 square feet of office on the top floor. In addition, multiple restaurants will occupy 11,200 square feet.
Based in Birmingham AL, Retail Specialists, Inc. is southeastern leasing, property management and development firm specializing on retail and related projects. The Back Porch at Ogletree Village, LLC is an Auburn based development company founded by Auburn residents Trent Wilson M.D. and Brian O’Neil.
The project is expected to open in late fall of 2015. Approximately 200 jobs will be created with projected annual sales from the project in excess of $10,000,000. Leasing for the retail space has begun.
“Not only is this area of Auburn in the midst of a retail shortage, it is also one of the most upscale neighborhoods in the State. The warm reception from local residents and the enthusiasm they have shown to this unique development makes for an extremely exciting project for us,” said Robert Jolly, President of Retail Specialists, Inc. “We will design The Back Porch to blend into the neighborhood as a family oriented, pedestrian and bike-friendly project in an area of Auburn close to upscale residential neighborhoods and educational institutions. It is going to be an exceptional project that will lease up quickly.”

There is definitely a demographic of the population looking for this type of development where they can take their families for weekly events such as movies in the park, farmer’s markets, art shows, outdoor concerts, etc.”, said Trent Wilson with The Back Porch of Ogletree Village, LLC.
“The focal point of the development will be the outdoor amphitheater and playground area. Families can enjoy patio dining while their kids play or they listen to outdoor concerts on the amphitheater lawn,” said Brian O’Neil with The Back Porch of Ogletree Village LLC. “We want families to take pride in this development and spend time with family and friends on a weekly basis.”
Groundbreaking is scheduled for early 2015.
